The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) has approved ABC Energy Inc.’s acquisition of a 40-percent minority stake in two Alternergy wind power projects, saying the transaction is unlikely to reduce competition as the country’s renewable energy (RE) market remains “fragmented” and is subject to regulatory safeguards.
